Our vegan-friendly white lacquer coconut bowl sets are handmade in Southern Vietnam using organic thick shelled coconuts. The inside is coated with an eco-friendly water-based lacquer, imitating the appearance of real coconuts and creating a stunning natural snack bowl.

Your coconut shell bowls are made from real coconuts, which means they need a little bit more love and care than other bowls. We recommend hand washing with warm, soapy water and drying with a cloth. Do not put them in the dishwasher or microwave as this may damage them.

 Your bowls will arrive completely plastic-free. We package each set in a recycled kraft paper box which is fully recyclable.

Please note: Bowls may be stained by exposure to food colouring.

Your coconut bowls come from the Bên Tre region in Southern Vietnam. An area famed for the quality of its coconuts.

 For many years the local farmers have made a modest income from selling coconut by-products such as coconut oils and coconut milks. Once the products were harvested the coconut shells and trees were seen as waste and burned to make way for the new crops. 

 By using coconut bowls you are helping to provide the local farmers with a secondary income, as well as preventing more coconuts and trees being needlessly burned.

 Once the coconut shell bowls have been harvested the inside is coated with a water based lacquer to replicate the appearance of a real life coconut. A fantastic sustainable present idea for vegans or conscious shoppers!
